Daryl Hannah has broken her decades-long silence about her past relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr. The 65-year-old actress published a powerful new essay in the New York Times, directly addressing the recent television series about JFK Jr.'s romantic life.

In her essay, Hannah strongly criticized the series *Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette*. She claims the show falsely portrays her character and misrepresents her real-life relationship with Kennedy. The nine-episode series focuses on JFK Jr.'s romantic life, depicting his on-and-off relationship with Hannah before he eventually began dating Carolyn Bessette, whom he later married.

Hannah says the version of her shown in the series is completely inaccurate. She wrote that the character using her name does not represent her life, behavior, or relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr.

She also rejected several scenes from the show, including one that suggests she hosted a cocaine-fueled party involving a Kennedy family heirloom. Hannah firmly denied those claims, stating she has never used cocaine, never hosted such parties, and never behaved in the ways portrayed.
The actress explained that she usually avoids responding to rumors or false stories about her personal life. She said she prefers to focus on her work and keep her private life private. However, she noted that this situation forced her to speak out because the show presents serious accusations that she says are simply untrue.
Daryl Hannah first met John F. Kennedy Jr. in the early 1980s. The two later reconnected in 1988. They had an on-and-off relationship for about five years before eventually breaking up in 1994.
